Your iGlucose Plus meter has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery â there are no disposable batteries to replace. To charge, connect the included Micro USB charger to the port on the bottom of the meter.
How to charge
- Connect the included charger to the Micro USB port on the bottom of the meter.
- Plug the other end into a power outlet. The screen illuminates, a blue light appears above the screen, and a charging icon displays with the message "Charging. Cannot Perform Glucose Test."
- Leave the meter charging for about 2â3 hours until the battery icon on screen turns solid green.
- Unplug the charger before taking a reading â readings cannot be performed while the meter is charging.
Battery life
A fully charged battery supports approximately 500 tests under normal use. Data transmission (syncing results to Lark) reduces battery life slightly.
When to charge
- Charge when the meter displays "Low battery shutdown" â the meter will turn off when the battery is too low to operate.
- If the meter won't turn on, connect the charger and wait a few minutes â a blue light should appear above the screen once there is enough charge.
âšī¸ The meter cannot be used while charging. If you need to test urgently and the meter is charging, unplug it first â even a short charge provides enough power for a reading.
