There’s some research that says increasing water consumption can support weight loss. What does “more” mean in “drinking MORE water?” It appears that increasing the amount of fluid you drink compared to whatever amount you have now can help with weight control.
Here are some ways to drink more water.
- Add water before each meal.
- Add water between meals.
- Add water when you wake up.
Choose the strategy that works best for you, and set a reasonable goal. Your extra water might be 2 cups at a time if you usually drink a lot of water, or a goal of an extra ½ cup at a time may be more reasonable if you don’t already drink plenty.
