If the Lark app is behaving unexpectedly β not loading, freezing, crashing, showing errors, or missing data β work through these steps before contacting support.
Step 1: Force close and relaunch the app
- iPhone (X or newer) β Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause. Find Lark in the app switcher and swipe it up to close. Reopen Lark from your home screen.
- iPhone (older models) β Press the Home button twice quickly. Find Lark and swipe it up to close. Reopen from your home screen.
- Android β Tap the Recent Apps button (square icon). Find Lark and swipe it away. Reopen from your app drawer.
Step 2: Check for a pending app update
- iPhone β Open the App Store, tap your profile icon, scroll to see pending updates. If Lark is listed, tap Update.
- Android β Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon β Manage apps & device. If Lark has an update available, tap Update.
Step 3: Check your phoneβs operating system
Make sure your iPhone or Android OS is up to date. On iPhone, go to Settings β General β Software Update. On Android, go to Settings β About Phone β System Updates.
Step 4: Restart your phone
A full phone restart clears temporary memory and often resolves app issues that persist after force-closing. Turn your phone off completely, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on and reopen Lark.
Step 5: Uninstall and reinstall the app
If none of the above steps work, uninstall the Lark app from your device, reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play Store, and sign back in.
βΉοΈ Uninstalling the app does not delete your Lark account or health data β all of your data is stored on Lark's servers, not on your device.
If the problem persists after reinstalling, contact our support team via the webform. Include your phone model, operating system version, and a description of what's happening.
