If your blood pressure monitor is set to the wrong date or time zone, you can reset the date and time using the following steps.
Resetting the Date and Time
Due to a recent update by our device partner, iHealth, it is no longer possible to manually change the date and time on your iHealth Blood Pressure Monitor. However, if your Lark app is up to date, pairing the device with your Lark account will cause it to retrieve accurate date and time information, and should reflect the accurate date and time on the device itself afterwards. In short, the solution to this problem is to make sure your device is properly pairing with your smartphone. Below, you can find detailed instructions on how to pair your device.
Before getting started, it is important to note that the iHealth Blood Pressure Monitor connects to your mobile phone via bluetooth. Please keep in mind the following before attempting to pair your monitor:
- You should make sure that you have Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone device.
- You should ensure that your blood pressure monitor and your smartphone are in close proximity to each other, to allow the devices to connect.
- Some of the instructions that come with your monitor, may prompt you to download the iHealth app. Please do not download and install the iHealth app. That will cause interference with the Bluetooth connection to Lark. If you already have the iHealth app installed, please uninstall this app from your smartphone.
To successfully change the date and time on your blood pressure monitor, please start by making sure that you've updated Lark to the latest version. I've included links below with instructions for how to accomplish this on iOS and Android devices:
Once you have ensured Lark is on the most updated version, please try connecting your monitor to Lark by following the steps below:
- Select the little plus sign in the bottom right hand corner of the main chat screen.
- Select “Measure blood pressure.”
- Select “take a measurement now.” It should give a little green chat bubble to let you know that Lark recognizes you want to take your blood pressure.
- Next, Lark will prompt you to make sure you have the blood pressure machine ready. This means it should be next to you and turned on.
- Lark will then prompt you to get the cuff ready, and will provide step by step instructions on how to take a reading.
- Hit “Done.”
Finally, if Lark has trouble locating your Blood Pressure monitor, you may be prompted to log your readings manually. Just in case it is helpful, here is how to log your readings manually outside of the coach chat:
- Push the little plus sign in the bottom right hand corner of the main chat screen.
- Select “Measure blood pressure.”
- Select "add measurement manually."
- Fill out the form for your entry and submit.
