Lark has options for low-carb, Paleo, vegetarian, vegan (plant-based), gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. You can select one of these specific diet patterns as a diet preference in your settings. To do so, tap on the profile icon on the upper left side (or upper right side in Android) and then tap on the small wheel icon on the upper right side on the next screen. Next, scroll down and tap on “Customize my coach”. You can then select an option under “Diet Preferences”.
Please note that selecting any of these options will prevent Lark from advising you to eat more of an excluded food group. For example, if you select “dairy-free,” Lark will not suggest that you eat “yogurt.” However, selecting one of these dietary options will not alter the feedback for food you log. For example, if you select “dairy-free” and log “yogurt,” Lark will count it as a “healthy protein.” Similarly, if you select the “low-carb” option, Lark will refrain from advising you to eat more grains, but if you log “bacon,” it will be categorized as unhealthy due to its high content of saturated fat and it being a processed meat.
